About Me

Hi! I’m Alayna, a 17-year-old student passionate about creating real social change and building a more inclusive community right here in Bombay. This year, I’m running the Tata Mumbai Marathon for the Jai Vakeel Foundation, a center dedicated to unlocking the potential of children and adults with intellectual disabilities. When I push my limits on the road, I’m running to help build a future where dignity, acceptance, and the chance to shine are guaranteed for every single student at Jai Vakeel.

Appeal

My commitment to this cause is deeply personal. I volunteer at Jai Vakeel every week, and in that time, I've had the profound privilege of seeing their life-changing work firsthand. The students I interact with have taught me more about patience, resilience, and pure joy than I could ever imagine. Witnessing their smiles after achieving even the smallest milestones is incredibly inspiring; it is a powerful reminder that every person deserves the chance to shine.

This marathon is my way of converting that inspiration into action. I am aiming to raise Rs.15,000 to support Jai Vakeel’s essential ongoing programs and ensure every child continues to get the specialized care and opportunities they deserve.
