About Me

I’m Mayuri G, and my story began in an old age home, the one my mother built for abandoned seniors. Growing up among elders shaped who I am and gave me a purpose bigger than myself.

From being a dreamless, clueless girl, I went on to complete my MBA, become a Counselling Psychologist, and start my own social enterprise in eldercare. In 2025, I had the honour of representing India at the Youth Vision Assembly 2025 - Netherland, a moment that reminded me how far I’ve come.

I’m a traveller & explorer, and someone who believes that small steps can create big change. This run is one of those steps, a way to give back to where my story began.

Appeal

I’m running for SMIT, the old age home my mother built from love and faith.
For years, SMIT has given abandoned seniors a place to belong — a place filled with warmth, care, and dignity. But behind those smiles are years of struggle — shifting from one space to another, managing limited funds, and trying to keep hope alive.

This fundraiser is not just about a building; it’s about creating stability and strength. It’s about helping SMIT stand tall on its own, a self-sustainable home where elders can live with comfort, pride, and peace.

Every step I take is for them, and every contribution brings us closer to a permanent home.
