About Me

My name is Manasi Sachin More. I am 22 years old. I am working in Jai vakeel foundation' s Sheltered workshop as an artisan in the Floral Fusion vocation. I have always been interested in running and other sport related activities.

Currently, I am training for fitness with Sprinters Academy over and above the sessions provided at Jai Vakeel Foundation. I represented Maharashtra in Special Olympics Bharat at Handball and our team won the Bronze.

I have been with Jai Vakeel since 2018. Currently, I am a proud artisan from the Sheltered Workshop Department at Jai Vakeel Foundation. Every day, I get the chance to work with my hands, learn new skills, and create beautiful products that make me feel confident, independent, and valued.

This year, I’m taking on a new challenge…..the 10km run. I will be participating for the second time in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, not just to run or walk, but to raise awareness and funds for Jai Vakeel Foundation, an organization that has changed my life.

Jai Vakeel empowers individuals like me — people with intellectual disabilities — by giving us not just care and education, but dignity, purpose, and opportunity. Through the Sheltered Workshop, I’ve learned to be self-reliant.

But there are so many more like me who are still waiting for that chance. That’s why I’m asking for your support.
