About Me
Life is full of uncertainties, and for me, that uncertainty came at the age of 6 during my childhood in 2012 & Replase in 2018 at the age of 12 when I'm in 5th class. I am Harshit Pal, a 15-year-old Hodgkin’s Lymphoma survivor. My world turned upside down when I was diagnosed with cancer—a heartbreaking moment not only for me but for my entire family.
From the very beginning, my treatment was nothing short of a battle. Endless tests, painful bone marrow procedures, and gruelling chemotherapy sessions became my daily life. I still remember the unbearable pain of injections, the tears streaming down my face, and the moment I lost my hair. It was a time filled with fear, uncertainty, and immense suffering.
But through it all, one person stood by me like an unshakable pillar—my mother.
My mother is illiterate, yet her love, determination, and strength went far beyond any medical knowledge. She faced every challenge head-on. When I had to go alone for follow-up treatments, I was confused, scared, and overwhelmed by the medical system. But somehow, my mother navigated every obstacle. She made every appointment, managed my medications, and fought every battle, despite not understanding the medical jargon or hospital processes. Her courage during those days was nothing short of heroic.
in 2024, I got connected with Cankids. This organization made my further treatment easier. They not only provide medical support but also focus on children’s overall development

Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKids KidsCan - The National Society For Change For Childhood Cancer In India aims to change that.
CanKids partners with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to move India towards 100% access2care & higher survival rates for children with cancer. They enable best standards of treatment, care and support across 141 partner centers in 53 cities and 22 states of India. Catering to primarily underprivileged families, CanKids serves the underserved, ensuring avoidance of financial hardship.
CanKids increases survival rates by driving early detection, diagnosis & referral & partnering with the government and stakeholders to pioneer online support and care reaching remote corners of India.
