About Me

My name is Rupesh Telam and my dreams echo loud from the quite hills of Igatpuri. I study in class 9th of Aseema Balshaikshanik Kendra. My parents work as daily wage labourers, and I live with them and my two siblings in Talegaon Wadi. Aseema has helped me not only helped me realise my love for Rugby but also provided me with the opportunity to compete at a National Level. This love for athletics has taught me discipline, courage, and is the driving force behind my aspiration to become a police officer when I grow up.

This year, I have a special opportunity: to participate in the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026. For me, this is more than just running a race. It is about seeing a new world, being inspired by the people I meet, and carrying that inspiration back with me to chase my dreams.

Aseema is giving children like me a platform to not only study but also build courage, skills, and aspirations for the future. With over 3,500 children learning across Aseema’s schools in Mumbai and Igatpuri, every bit of support helps provide quality education, nutritious meals, caring teachers, and safe learning spaces.
