I am Dr Nirmal Raut ,a consultant medical oncologist.I treat all cancers (solid tumours) with chemotherapy absolutely free of cost in BhaktiVedanta Hospital and research institute.

As a Consultant Medical Oncologist, I walk alongside patients and families every single day in their toughest battles against cancer. I have seen their strength, their tears, and their hope. This marathon is not just a run for me—it is a tribute to every patient I’ve cared for and to my own mother, whom I lost to cancer. Appeal for Women’s Health in Mumbai’s Urban Slums.

Thousands of women living in Mumbai’s slums face a silent threat—breast and oral cancers. These are two of the most common yet preventable cancers in India, but due to poverty, stigma, and lack of awareness, most women don't get screened until it's too late. Early detection can improve survival rates by up to 90%, yet 70% of cases are diagnosed in advanced stages.

The Gunvati Jagan Nath Kapoor Foundation (GJK) is stepping up to change this. Through the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025, GJK aims to raise Rs. 5,00,000 to educate and screen 4,500 women in undeserved communities.

This is more than a race—it’s a movement to give women knowledge, early detection, and hope.
