Appeal

Health is the cornerstone for every individual. Our vision is to promote health and awareness and improve the quality of life for all. We need your support for focusing on cancer care, cancer awareness in the communities and maternal health in the low-income groups.

Cancer Treatment: Cancer burden exerts tremendous psychosocial (social, financial, and emotional) distress on individuals, families, health care systems as well as entire nation. Following are the initiatives under these that require your support
- Emergency Fund: A stop gap fund of Rs. 5000, to buy medicines, undergo chemotherapy, conduct preliminary diagnostic tests, provide support for palliative care etc.
- Ration Support: Most cancer patients who come for cancer treatment to Mumbai, must go through life changing events, like financial crunch, finding accommodations in Mumbai, diagnosis, and treatment side effects to name a few. Ration support kit of Rs 1000 will help support a cancer patient for a month or two and give them the ability to eat home cooked hygienic food.
- Supportive Care: Cancer patients during treatment in addition to medicines, ration also require protein powder, hygiene kits, stoma bags, and other important care material depending on the type of cancer. A helping add for these materials during the tough time would be a boon.
- Accommodation: 60-70% of the 80,000 plus new patients come to Mumbai every year are from outside the city. Cancer treatments take months, and a safe haven is required for patients and caregivers. Rs 3100 per patient per month is the minimum requirement.

Cancer Awareness: According to the National Cancer Control Program, 70% of patients are diagnosed when they are in Stage III. We empower the women in the urban slums through awareness talks and preventive measures for cancer. Rs 5000 is the for such a health talk

Maternal Health: Provide awareness about prenatal and post-natal talk along with rigorous follow up so that the mother and child health are both healthy. A nutritious kit of Rs 1000, containing jaggery, dry fruits, peanuts, etc. is a vital need in the community for the mother to eat healthy in the last months of pregnancy.

Our Sincere appeal to all of you to join hands with us, to help our communities achieve better health outcomes and bring a smile on their faces.
