About Me

Hello! I'm Prakruthi, a student from Bangalore with a wide range of interests from sports to arts and crafts, and much more in between. As I step into an exciting milestone, turning twenty-one, I thought there could be no better way to celebrate than by running 21 km in support of a wonderful charity.

One of the quotes that has always guided me is: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.” This belief is what inspires me to be actively involved with charitable trusts, teaching, spending meaningful time, and contributing in every way I can to create a real impact.

For me, this run is more than just a challenge, it’s a way to celebrate life, health, and the joy of giving. Turning 21 feels like the perfect moment to take on 21 km with purpose, and I’m excited to make every step count. ?

Appeal

Did you know that if a child has cancer in the USA, their chances of survival are 80 to 90%. But in India, it is 35%. But it doesn't have to be that way. Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKidsKidsCan - The National Society For Change For Childhood Cancer In India aims to change that. Creating real and visible impact CanKids has driven access to care for kids with cancer from 29% to 53% by 2025, with a goal of 100% access, 100% financial protection, and 60% survival by 2030.

CanKids partners with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to move India towards 100% access2care & higher survival rates for children with cancer. They enable best standards of treatment, care and support across 141 partner centers in 53 cities and 22 states of India. Catering to primarily underprivileged families, CanKids serves the underserved, ensuring avoidance of financial hardship.

Your donation goes towards medical treatment, blood work, nutrition, counseling, education of a child with cancer. Together we can bring light into dark and shine the way for more children with cancer to #surviveandthrive.
