About Me

I am Sundar Iyer, the founder trustee of Suryoday Trust. What began many years ago in two small rented shops with 2 children in Nalasopara was driven by a simple belief — that children and young adults with intellectual disabilities deserve the same love, education, and opportunities as anyone else.

From those modest beginnings, with the support of my fellow trustees, donors well-wishers, suryoday team and an unshakable faith in the cause, we have now built a full-fledged school building in Vasai. Here, underprivileged children and young adults with intellectual disabilities are nurtured, educated, employed and trained to live with dignity and confidence.

This journey has been one of learning, resilience, and hope and it continues with renewed energy every day.

Dear Friends,

This year, I am running and raising funds for my organization Suryoday Trust. Each step I take is in honor of the children and young adults who have walked into our classrooms with dreams in their eyes and courage in their hearts.

But our work is far from complete. We need your support to continue providing education and skill development to underprivileged children and young adults with intellectual disabilities to give them the chance to discover their strengths, learn valuable skills, and live independent, meaningful lives.
