Join Us in Empowering Girls in Rural Raigad!

At empowHER India, we believe every girl deserves the chance to grow into a confident, independent woman. For over 30 years, we’ve been working in Panvel and beyond to make this possible—starting with access to education, clean water, safe sanitation, and financial know-how. Every step we take is shaped by the voices of the women and girls we serve.

This year, we're focusing on adolescent girls in the Raigad and Aurangabad districts. Our goal is to help them build stronger life skills, make confident decisions, understand their health and nutrition, and learn about gender equality and money management. Through interactive sessions and community activities, we’re working to build a support system around them—so they don’t just survive, they thrive.

We’re also tackling a big challenge in Raigad’s upper primary schools: the lack of toilets and menstrual hygiene awareness. Poor sanitation affects girls' health and often pushes them to miss or drop out of school. So, we’re building toilets and running awareness programs to change that.
