empowHER India is a grassroots nonprofit that has worked for over 30 years to uplift women and adolescent girls in rural Maharashtra. We focus on ensuring access to basic needs, life skills education, and safe environments so that every girl can grow with dignity and confidence.

Our key programs include:
1. SETU: Equips adolescent girls with essential life skills like communication, decision-making, and self-awareness to help them become future-ready.
2. SAPHL: Improves school sanitation by building adolescent-friendly toilets and conducting hygiene education to create clean, safe learning spaces.
3. Education Initiatives: Supports rural children with quality education, academic help, and learning resources to boost confidence and opportunities.

We currently work in Karjat, Pen, Alibaug, and Chh. Sambhajinagar, directly reaching thousands of children and families. Our mission is to build stronger, more equitable communities—one empowered girl at a time.
