Appeal

As a kid, my grandpa often told me to make sure I read and travelled well in life, because in many ways they are the same. Both open doors, broaden worlds, and become the magic beans that make life richer and more meaningful.
Reading has always been a safe space for me, a place where I found comfort, courage, and understanding. It is something that shaped me deeply and continues to anchor me even today.

Through the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026, I hope to pass on that same warmth, hope, and possibility to lots of children, for whom owning a book still remains a distant dream. I am supporting the Lets Read initiative by United Way Mumbai, which works to ensure that every child has access to books they choose and love.

Books that help them feel validated, and that introduce them to new ideas and new worlds.
