About Me

I am Dilip Dassani, Partner at Dassani Brothers and sports addict all my life. Running and fitness have been more than mere hobbies for me since school days. The last three years have been a pleasure, running multiple marathons and learning something new with each one about staying the course, being resilient, and having purpose.

This year, I wanted to dedicate that purpose to something more than myself. I've chosen to run for two wonderful causes that make a difference daily: Ummeed Child Development Center, for children with developmental disabilities, and Tata Cancer Care, offering crucial cancer care to those who otherwise might not receive it.

Along the way, one thing remained with me: If I am not able to use my passion for a higher purpose, then how am I truly going to make a difference in society? That served as my inspiration to run this year with more intent.

Racing for these causes has introduced a different kind of purpose to my steps. It's not just about reaching the finish line anymore—it's about empowering kids to have their voices heard, filling families with hope, and standing with people in their lowest moments.

I believe change is created by small acts of kindness. And collectively, with your support, we can create that change—one child at a time, one patient at a time, one family at a time. Appeal

I’m running the Tata Mumbai Marathon not just for myself, but for two causes that deeply matter—Ummeed Child Development Center and Tata Cancer Care.

Ummeed works with children with developmental disabilities, helping them reach their full potential through therapy, education, and family support. They’ve already impacted thousands of lives, but with millions of children still needing help, their work is far from over.

Tata Cancer Care brings quality cancer treatment to people across India, especially in underserved areas. For families battling cancer, access to timely and affordable care can mean the difference between hope and despair.

I’m raising funds to support both these incredible organizations. The money we raise will directly help children and families who are facing some of life’s toughest challenges.
