Appeal

In India, 1 in 8 children aged 2–9 years have or are at risk of developmental disabilities such as autism, ADHD, cerebral palsy, and learning disabilities—amounting to over 50 million children. Yet, less than a quarter have access to quality care.

Ummeed Child Development Center believes that every child with, or at risk of, developmental disabilities can thrive when given the right support. With a family-centered, strengths-based approach, Ummeed works with children, families, professionals, and communities to ensure their optimal development and inclusion in society.

Since inception, Ummeed has provided over 1,52,000 clinical services to 15,500+ children and families, and trained 11,200 professionals and 5,550 caregivers across India and low-income countries—reaching more than 5,60,000 children.

Over 80% of the families served are from low-income backgrounds. All Ummeed trainings are offered free of cost.

As a not-for-profit organization, Ummeed relies heavily on the generosity of individuals and organizations. The funds raised through Tata Mumbai Marathon will support clinical services, training efforts, advocacy, research, administration costs, shared services-related costs, and IT infrastructure.

Your contribution can help transform the lives of children with developmental disabilities. We invite you to join us in creating a more inclusive world. We look forward to your support!
