About Me

I am a 35 year old working professional from Pune. The two closest things to my heart are running and our environment. This year I am proud to support Project Aamhi with the funds raised through running full marathon (42.195 kms) at the TMM 2026. Thanks to your support last year, the numbers just went up!

Villages under the project: 25 (up by 15)
Initiative area: 65 sq. km. (up by 29 sq. kms)
Waste collected: 415 Tons (up by 105 tons)

As part of a fund-raising campaign for Project Aamhi, I am honored to be running for a cause that addresses the issue of solid waste management in Raigad.

Aamhi’s work speaks volumes as what humans can do, one bag at a time. Solid waste management is a critical issue which hampers the environmental balance. Our ecosystem can sustain only so much non-biodegradable waste. Plastics, paper, footwear, clothes litter our surrounds and choke up the biodiversity around us.

Under Aamhi’s initiative, locally employeed women collect solid waste across 25 villages cover 65 sq. kms. The waste is segregated and sent for recycling, reusing and upcycling. 15 Tons of waste is removed from our ecosystem every month. Till date more than 415 Tons of non-biodegradable waste has be put to good use.

We utilize our nature for the well being of the human kind destroying the very nature that has gotten us here.
