About Me

As the founder and chairman of the Cancer Patients Aid Association (CPAA), an organization dedicated to supporting cancer patients and their families, I am reaching out with a heartfelt appeal for your generous support.

For over 55 years, CPAA has been committed to the "Total Management of Cancer," offering comprehensive support to cancer patients and their families. We focus on the complete well-being of cancer patients, from creating awareness and promoting early detection, to providing guidance, counselling, financial assistance for treatment, and rehabilitation. Our holistic approach ensures that underprivileged cancer patients not only receive essential medical care but also the emotional strength and hope they need to fight this battle.

With 40 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry, my career began as a Medical Representative at John Wyeth & Brothers Ltd., progressing to the role of Marketing Manager at Johnson & Johnson, and eventually becoming an Executive Director on the company’s board.
My personal connection to cancer patients began in 1969 when I visited a friend at Tata Memorial Hospital. In the bed next to him was a young girl named Jaya, battling leukemia, but with limited resources for treatment. Along with a few friends, I helped raise the money needed for her care. Jaya was cured, and CPAA was born.

Appeal

When we first started the fundraising for cancer patients, we had imagined helping a few cancer patients, but we hadn't imagined the magnitude of the impact our donations would make!
So far, your contributions since the inception of CPAA has helped us assist more than 10,40,204 cancer patients and their families. Additionally, 33,088 patients and families have been rehabilitated, reinstating them into the mainstream of life by empowering them with skills, capability, and confidence. While we celebrated these successes, we still have a waiting list of thousands more who need this support as well.

In pursuit of our vision, I am reaching out to you to seek your valuable support in raising funds for our cause. CPAA will be providing medical support in the form of radiation, surgery, chemotherapy, etc., through this noble platform of the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2025. I appeal to all benevolent donors to strengthen your contribution to the noble cause of CPAA by donating whatever you can. All donations are eligible for an 80G deduction under the Income Tax Act. Your generosity knows no bounds, and every donation counts, regardless of its size.
