About Me
I'm a 16-year-old student studying at the Aditya Birla World Academy. I'm proud to support Project Amhi by running the Open 10k race at TMM 2026 as a Fundraiser. The people who run it are sincerely dedicated towards, what I believe is a vital and underrepresented cause. I can't think of a better organization or cause to support.
Appeal
I'm happy to run the 10k race at TMM 2026 as a fundraiser for Project Aamhi, a non-profit dedicated to addressing the pressing concern of solid waste management in Raigad district.
Aamhi’s work is both essential and inspiring. Solid waste management is often overlooked, especially in semi-rural and rural areas, leaving plastics and other non-biodegradable waste accumulating in our ecosystems.
Disposable plastics, clothes, footwear, and paper litter our roads, beaches, and open spaces or accumulate in open dumps. When the dumps grow unmanageable they're often burned, releasing toxic pollutants into the air.
Under Aamhi's initiative, locally employed women collect waste across 25 villages.
The waste is sorted and sent for recycling, removing over 15 tons of waste from the ecosystem every month. In this manner, Aamhi has collected and recycled more than 400 tons of non-biodegradable waste. I might not be an expert in validating statistics, but it is impossible to state this project has not made a difference. I was brought up around nature as a child and have come to appreciate its significance and importance, It saddens me to see the lush ecosystem around me get destroyed in the course of just a few years as a result of pollution. I have been fascinated by the beautiful and fascinating wildlife I have been privileged to grow up around since I was 5 years old, I always feel angered when our own waste harms animals and the environment we so heavily depend on.
Please help me raise funds for Aamhi’s efforts. Your donation will directly support their mission and help strengthen this important work.
