About Me

I am Shardul Lokapure, a Mechanical Engineering student at COEP Tech who believes that the best designs are those that serve people. Beyond my studies, I am deeply committed to using storytelling and design to create social impact, whether through teaching and inspiring kids.

This year, I am returning for my second Tata Mumbai Marathon with a deeper mission. I will be wearing a cape that symbolizes the invisible barriers of mental health, using this 42km journey as a visual narrative to advocate for the resilience required to overcome life's internal and external obstacles.

Appeal

I am returning to the Tata Mumbai Marathon for my second year, driven by the belief that running is most powerful when it serves a purpose beyond the finish line. This year, I am proud to support two incredible causes: Project Nanhi Kali, which provides underprivileged girls with the education they deserve, and the Agatsu Foundation, which pioneers vital work in mental health and well-being. As I take on these 42 kilometers, I will be wearing a cape that symbolizes the invisible mental health barriers many face every day. My run is a tribute to the resilience required to overcome those barriers, whether they are societal obstacles to education or internal struggles with mental health.
