About Me

Hi I am Ritu Chandwani! I work as a Consultant-Manager- Partnerships with Vipla Foundation.

Vipla Foundation has worked for the enrichment of lives of women and children since the last 36 years. In the last 10 years, Vipla Foundation with a presence in Maharashtra, Delhi, Himachal Pradesh, Goa, and Gujarat, has reached out to 10,00,000+ beneficiaries in the areas of Early Childhood Care, Education, Inclusion, and Women Empowerment, skilling initiatives and more, impacting 11 SDGs.

Through their Dhvani Outreach Program, Vipla Foundation introduced India’s first-ever missed call helpline number, Dial for Dhvani (022-49393333), to ensure a child’s caregiver can seek help for hearing impairment.

My experience in Social Sector, HR, Consulting, Advertising has made me wish-a-world that soon every child in India will be screened at birth for hearing impairment and never miss out on a lifetime of opportunities. Each child of India will have a bright future where they can study, dream, be happy and lead fulfilling lives.

I am always inspired by Mr. Ratan Tata to contribute to a better world.

Appeal

When silence is an old friend for some children
They talk without speaking
Hear without listening
Countless songs that their voices will never know nor sing
Zillion words that will never be spoken.

Children born with severe hearing Impairment (HI) are born to a world of silence. As timely early intervention were not done, the children born with HI, not only do not hear but also do not speak. Late interventions do not help as by then waves of sound and syllables of speech are not recognized.

Silence enveloped their lives completely. A silent world with no loving voices of parents, jokes by siblings, no favorite sound tracks, no sounds of laughter, no songs, no favorite tunes, no sound of birds chirping.

Your donation can help fill the lives of the HI children, with sounds of speech, hope and laughter. Timely and early interventions will give the children a new life, where they can hear, speak, study, have a bright future, change the cycle of poverty, be happy and live life to the fullest.
