About Me

I’m Pragati Gupta, and I’ve been working with not-for-profits for almost 8 years, spending the past 2 years with Aseema Charitable Trust. At Aseema, we are committed to providing quality, value-based education to children from marginalized communities—a mission that’s very close to my heart. I believe every child deserves the chance to learn, grow, and thrive.

I’m proud to support one of our inspiring alumni, Devasen Gupta, and I’d like to share a little about him:

“My name is Devasen Gupta, and I’m a proud alumnus of an Aseema school. My dream is to become someone people can truly look up to.

We are a small family of five—my parents, two brothers, my sister, and me. My father has been diagnosed with a heart problem, and my mother supports us by giving tuitions.

Aseema has played a huge role in shaping who I am today. After completing my Bachelor’s from Nagindas Khandwala College, I am now preparing for the CAT exam to pursue higher studies. Alongside academics, sports have always been close to my heart. Thanks to Aseema, I discovered my love for rugby, and that passion has taken me far. I’ve played for Maharashtra several times and am a regular player for the Mumbai City Rugby team.”

Appeal

I am fundraising for Aseema through the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 — not only to support the education of over 3,500 children AND to give one child the opportunity to be part of this incredible event.

Every day, Aseema opens doors for children from marginalised communities — safe classrooms, caring teachers, nutritious meals, and the chance to dream bigger. But empowerment goes beyond academics. For a child, the chance to participate in the marathon is a life-changing experience. It’s about building confidence, discovering strength, and realising they belong on every platform where dreams are celebrated.

Your donation will help support teacher salaries, nutritious meals, books, classroom resources, digital learning, health services, and counselling. Together, let’s give one child the gift of education, dignity, and the unforgettable joy of being part of this marathon.
