Join Us in the Fight Against Women’s Cancer in Mumbai’s Slums
In the crowded lanes of Mumbai’s urban slums, women juggle daily struggles of survival—feeding families, earning a living, and keeping their homes together. Health often takes a backseat.
For many, cancer remains a silent killer. Breast lumps are ignored. White patches in the mouth are dismissed. By the time they reach a hospital, it’s often too late for a cure.
At GJK Foundation, we believe no woman should lose her life simply because she didn’t know the warning signs or couldn’t afford timely treatment.
Through our Women’s Cancer Awareness and Screening Program, we are:
Bringing life-saving awareness sessions on breast and oral cancers directly to slum communities.
Offering free screenings for early detection.
Connecting women to hospitals for diagnosis and treatment.
Supporting patients with guidance, and emotional care during their cancer journey.
This year, our goal is to reach 5000 plus women with awareness and screening, and extend treatment aid to underprivileged patients who are fighting cancer with little to no resources.
