About Me

One can retire from work but not from serving others. Post my hectic professional life as a global financial executive, I have decided to gain new experiences in empowering the underprivileged and the undernourished. Development of soft skills and mentoring the young, particularly those who do not have the means now, occupies most of my time. As the Chairman of The Samarth Community, I have the privilege of interacting with Seniors and an opportunity to learn and experience. I believe Serving is a collective effort, so join me in my journey to Give Back to the community.

This year I will again be running the Tata Mumbai Marathon on 18th Jan 2026 to support and raise funds for CanKids KidsCan, which helps children with cancer across India. I have known the folks at CanKids for many years, and I believe all of us can do our bit to make this world a better place. No amount is too small - I hope we can make a difference together for these children in any possible way. Help me help them and spread the word! I humbly request all my friends to donate what you would spend on one good dinner out with your family. It would really go a long long way in helping these brave little kids. Appeal

Did you know that if a child has cancer in the USA, their chances of survival are 80 to 90%. But in India, it is 35%. But it doesn't have to be that way. Founded in 2004 by Poonam Bagai, herself a cancer survivor, CanKidsKidsCan - The National Society For Change For Childhood Cancer In India aims to change that. Creating real and visible impact CanKids has driven access to care for kids with cancer from 29% to 53% by 2025, with a goal of 100% access, 100% financial protection, and 60% survival by 2030.

CanKids partners with hospitals, medical professionals, and state governments to move India towards 100% access2care & higher survival rates for children with cancer. They enable best standards of treatment, care and support across 141 partner centers in 53 cities and 22 states of India. Catering to primarily underprivileged families, CanKids serves the underserved, ensuring avoidance of financial hardship.

Your donation goes towards medical treatment, blood work, nutrition, counseling, education of a child with cancer. Together we can bring light into dark and shine the way for more children with cancer to #surviveandthrive.
