About Me

I, Ramesh Daswani, a graduate from Mumbai University with Masters in Marketing Management, am highly committed & a result-oriented professional and been an entrepreneur with over 40 years of experience in running a profit center, managing teams, setting goals and achieving organizational agenda of profits and beyond.
In 2011- 2012 I decided to take a sabbatical and join the social Sector. 
I have been a director of New Initiatives with the Somaiya Group since 2013. In the year 2016, I headed the 500-bed charitable hospital of the Somaiya Group as their CEO.
Today,  as the CEO of Light of Life Trust, a position that I have held since 2018.  We at LOLT are steadily achieving the objectives of the initiative of providing education to the underprivileged sections of our society. This outreach has covered education for approximately 5000 children in rural areas. The initiative has also managed to uplift and provide a meaningful contribution to sectors concerning women empowerment, livelihood, healthcare and more. 
I have been a Member of Rotary since 2007 and have been actively participating in the activities of Rotary ever since. I was the President in 13-14 and since, have held many responsible positions in the District of Rotary International. I was the Chairman of the CSR committee of the Rotary Dist.
After successfully completing the tenure for the Chairman of the CSR committee of the Rotary Dist, I have now taken up the position of leading the Vocational Service in the Rotary Dist 3141.
Last but not the least, I am on the CSR board of CCI and was on the IMC for several years and on the managing committee and advisory board of several organizations and associations. 

Appeal

Dear Friends,
I am supporting Light of Life Trust this year through the Tata Mumbai Marathon, which believes that education is the means to eradicate poverty & generate employment. We are raising funds for 1000 rural children to bring back to Secondary School and clear their SSC within the next tree years.
Each child costs only Rs 12000 per year and as such please support atleast One Child for this academic year.
