About Me

I'm a long distance runner, working in the social sector so I love the opportunity to combine my two strengths for the greater goal of Education and Livelihood Empowerment of underprivileged girls and women. I am the Managing Trustee of Animedh Charitable Trust (ACT) and am dedicated, full time to this cause. Animedh Charitable Trust (ACT) since it was founded in 2012, has consistently worked to improve the lives of underserved children, youth, women and vulnerable communities. Till date, more than 10,000 children and 200,000 women have been impacted and ACT's mission is to make a difference to thousands and lakhs more lives.

Every child deserves a chance to grow, learn, and thrive – but in the tribal villages where Animedh Charitable Trust works, this is far from reality.
Children with disabilities are often hidden away, isolated by stigma and a heartbreaking lack of awareness. There are no early childhood disability services within 25 km, and no systems in place to support these children and their families and we’re changing that.

After working in the community here’s the achievement by Animedh Charitable Trust:
• 2,157 interventions across 830 children through our Child Development Aides
• 4,767 interventions with 900 families of children aged 0-3.5
• Identification and support for 45 children with multiple disabilities
• 289 preschool children supported in 13 schools
• 3 children received official UDID disability certification for services

To continue this achievement and to support these children they rely on people like you who to come forward and support out initiatives to make changes in the community.
