About Me

I am a mental health professional working in the field for the past 9 years. I love Indian Classical music, connecting with nature, planning back-packing tours, reading books. Yoga and sports have shaped my personality. I was looking forward to reconnecting with this aspect and what else can be more motivating than running for a cause !! Child Sexual Abuse, a cause that I am fighting against by working as a Director of Operations with the Rubaroo Breaking Silences Foundation.

Appeal

Child Sexual Abuse is a shocking reality in India. It affects nearly HALF of our child population. It is such a deeply disturbing and rampant issue that we, the adults and the decision-makers, need to take full responsibility for their safety. I support this cause because I believe children should have SAFE and HAPPY childhoods. Join my fight against CSA, every Rupee saves a child. Rubaroo works hard to raise awareness of the issue at the grassroots level. They do programmes that teach children how to keep themselves safe from CSA, they also educate and train parents/caregivers/adults/teachers etc on how they can play an active role in safeguarding their children. Our team of highly trained counsellors also provides mental health support to child and adult victims of sexual violence with the aim of helping them heal and lead happier lives. Join us in our fight against this social evil! Too many children have already suffered, let's put an end to this together.
