About Me
I am an ex-mixologist and naturalist, who quit her job/s to help set up Rubaroo. Consider me a free-spirited, old, and sometimes funny soul who loves adventure sports and being in the great outdoors. Nothing parallels my love for the mountains and I believe that puppies are the only true source of happiness. As you may have guessed, I live my life to the fullest because I believe we have only one life and being too serious ruins the whole experience. I hope to bring about change that leaves a mark in the space I work in.
Appeal
Rubaroo was born out of a strong desire to create a much required change in the space of CSA (Child Sexual Abuse). It's rampancy scares me and I have pledged to work towards reducing that. The effects of CSA on a child can be life long, and if unaddressed can affect society on a whole. We have to work together, as a society, to create a safer world for our children.
Through Rubaroo, we hope to -
1) Raise awareness with and train adult stakeholders like parents and teachers, to create a safety net for children.
2) Do prevention programmes with children to empower them with the required knowledge to keep them safe from abuse.
3) To provide healing services to victims with the help of our highly trained counsellors so as to help them lead happier lives.
I call upon my friends, family and well-wishers to help me as I participate in the Tata Mumbai Marathon'19 - to build awareness and fund-raise for my cause. Our children are our future, and if we cannot keep them safe, we will fail them. I urge you to contribute generously. Join the fight !!
