About Me
I’ve been doing the TMM fundraiser since 2019, but this year feels different … and a lot more personal.
After 35 years in the corporate world, I’ve taken the plunge with early retirement at the end of this year, to devote most of my time, energy, and resources into my passion for disability inclusion. This isn’t just a cause I support - it’s one I’ve chosen to walk alongside.
As a passionate runner, philanthropist and inclusion evangelist, I have committed to further the cause of disability inclusion in my lifetime through my time, my personal wealth and my networks. My target is to have assisted in making life altering interventions to lives of at least 1 lakh PWD's in my lifetime and through my philanthropic support.
Appeal
Dear friends & supporters,
When we started “Help a Child Walk” in 2024, we didn’t fully realize the power of a small device - one that costs around Rs 8000 but can completely transform a child’s life trajectory. With it, they can stand, walk, run, play, go to school, make friends and simply — be children. Without it, they risk being excluded from the world around them.
In the past two years, we’ve provided almost 1000 devices for these children. But the need is far greater !
As the word spread, we were besieged with requests from all corners of the country and cases such as 850 children in remote Orissa, who were measured for a device by another organization, but never received one because of lack of funds. Thousands more are in the same situation.
It’s heartbreaking that the only barrier between a child and the ability to walk could be a $ 100 device.
This year, we are setting out to change that for as many children as possible. As we host the next edition of the Inclusion Run at the Tata Mumbai Marathon 2026 — with over 100 pairs of persons with disabilities and their allies — I hope we can also light up hundreds of lives beyond the track.
