Gyanada Foundation

Registered Year :

Gyanada Foundation is a non-profit that was started to address the problem of underprivileged girls dropping out of school disproportionately. We flagged off as a scholarship program- Gyanada Scholars- that gets girl children to low- budget private schools. We have supported 137 girl children from financially under-resourced backgrounds in Kolkata, Ranchi, Delhi, Pune and Mumbai to go budget private schools. We have 12 tribal girls in Ranchi who have passed out of Gyanada Scholarship program and all of them continue to pursue academics. While we were helping girl children access schooling, access to a better learning environment was a challenge. After testing various programs we identified computer programming as a wonderful tool for strengthening learning. Hence, Binary Story , is a program that aims to improve and develop skills for 7th-grade school children that are essentials for the 21st century.
