"Gyanada provides better educational and schooling opportunities to girls coming from financially marginalized communities in India. Our approach is two-fold, Gyanada Scholars provides need-based scholarships to financially disadvantaged girls across four cities in India. Gyanada Labs- focuses on providing functional and people's skills through application based learning programs. Gyanada Scholars Between 2013 to 2016, we have provided need-based scholarships to more than 100 girls from financially underprivileged backgrounds to attend affordable private schools in Mumbai, Pune, Delhi, Kolkata and Ranchi. Gyanada Labs Storytelling- is one of our most effective programs to engage children in the age group of 7 to 14 years every fortnight to create an environment that enables imagination, memory, emotion, curiosity and most importantly expression. In the past 2 years, we have conducted more than 30 storytelling sessions with about 20-25 children attending every session. We have tied up with Pratham books, who provide us books on different topics or themes including geography, language, history, science. Computer Coding- This project just finished its pilot phase. We used a visual programming language called Scratch to expose young girls to the joy of coding and post a 6 month intensive program with street kids, 8 girls have graduated the foundation course of Scratch."
