Dhai Akshar Educational Trust is a Mumbai-based NGO founded in 2013, committed to “lighting lives lovingly, one letter at a time.” ([Dhai Akshar][1]) We work primarily in the Versova community, nurturing over 350 underprivileged children through play-based, holistic development programs. ([Dhai Akshar][1])

Our intervention spans four core pillars:
1) Gyaan Gully (Learning Lane): Academic support in languages, mathematics, science; exam preparation; robotics and resource room learning.
2) Kala Krossing (Creative Expression): Platforms for art, music, drama, dance, martial arts, yoga, and other co-curricular arts.
3) Sehat Street (Wellness & Safety): Daily nutritious meals, health camps, psychological counselling, legal education workshops, and community awareness.
4) Masti Marg (Enrichment & Exposure): Field trips, cultural outings, celebrations, and events to broaden exposure and community bonding. ([Dhai Akshar][1])

Through these integrated initiatives, Dhai Akshar empowers children academically, emotionally, creatively, and socially—while strengthening the wider community.

Appeal

Funds raised will directly sustain and expand our comprehensive development programs across academics, creativity, wellness, and community engagement.

A major portion will be allocated to scholarships, educational materials, and infrastructure upgrades at our Versova centre, ensuring that children receive consistent and quality education. Support will also go toward co-curricular initiatives such as art, music, dance, sports, and cultural programs under Kala Krossing, nurturing creativity, teamwork, and confidence. Further, funds will enable us to conduct career exposure sessions, workshops, and enrichment trips through Masti Marg, providing children with real-world insights and aspirations. A dedicated segment will strengthen our mental health and wellness programs under Sehat Street—offering counselling, nutrition, and emotional support to ensure every child thrives holistically.

Every contribution helps us create an ecosystem where children not only learn but also dream, express, and evolve into confident individuals ready to shape a better future. Together, we can transform education into empowerment and sustain positive community impact.
