| Beneficiary Description | MFCT India was conceptualised in 2012, 11 years back. It is committed to supporting patients and caregivers, “To Lead a Quality Life with Myeloma” while working towards a cure. With its four founding pillars of the acronym “E A S E” E = EDUCATE A = AWARENESS S = SUPPORT E = EVALUATION Patient Empowerment groups: We have formed 15 multiple state\city level groups in India that are supported by leading hospitals, doctors, and patients. Our goal for our future plans of expansion from Mumbai to Kolkata & Chandigarh to Chennai would cover a network of patient empowerment groups in all major cities and hospitals pan India. Counselling sessions: We hold one-to-one counselling sessions with the patient, caregiver, and the family. Arranging and hosting webinars, seminars, and small group discussions: Hosting monthly webinars and group meetings that are open to all and Attended by our patient empowerment group members regularly. Insurance and Mediclaim: We offer pro bono services for supporting patients legally to get their claims reimbursed. Fund Raising: For supporting treatments of needy and deserving patients, outreach programs, and other activities related to other group activities. Global Patient Advocacy : In the field of Patient support, Drugs and Liasoning with government organizations. Association : Associated with IMAGe (Indian Myeloma Academic Group Society), Indian Myeloma Congress, Yoddhas, V Care, Indian Cancer Society, MAX Foundation and many NGO’s all over India. | |||||||||

| Beneficiary Description | MYELOMA FRIENDS CHARITABLE TRUST is an organization that stands as a testimony to the crusade against cancer. Founded and funded by cancer survivors and their associates, it came about to bring help in the form of an organized platform. It was initiated so that adequate information could be complimented along with the latest technological developments in the pursuit to find the right avenues. | |||||||||
| Impact | • Counseling: Counseling Myeloma (Cancer) patients and care givers 1 to 1 by qualified and experienced counselors and survivors. • Sharing Experiences: Relieving patients and care givers from the trauma created by the word "C" by sharing experiences by survivors. • Psychological and Mental Health: Qualified and experienced counselors and survivors takes care of the patients and provide psychological and mental support. • Arranging seminars: The trust is arranging monthly seminars at Bandra which are open to all and take advantage. • Inviting Experts in the field of Myeloma and arrange their seminars. • Providing and arranging the medicines directly from the pharma company at no cost for some patients who cannot afford and at a cheaper rate to other patients. • Suggesting and Arranging Doctors Appointment: In case of emergency the trustees help in getting doctor's appointment and suggesting the right doctor. • Till today the trust is self contributed by the trustees. We are yet to get donations from people and corporates. Once we have sufficient fund we wish to support patients for free treatment as well. We wish to have a chemo therapy center, day care center absolutely free for the patients. | |||||||||

| Impact | The ultimate goal is to have a charitable hospital. Roughly more than 10000 myeloma patients are detected every year. Lots of research is in process and we feel till it gets curable (Presently it is a not curable disease but treatable) we can help these patients achieve partial or complete remission and live healthy quality life. | |||||||||
