Samarthanam Trust for the Disabled is 28 year old organization founded by Managing Trustee Mahantesh G Kivadasannavar along with his schoolmate and childhood friend, Late. Nagesh SP. The founders, being visually impaired and having witnessed various challenges, have together conceptualized Samarthanam, an organization which would cater to people with disabilities, including visually impaired and underprivileged working for the empowerment of persons with disabilities

The project envisages the following key outcomes once the facility will be operationalized:
Year on year 500 marginalized and disabled children will have an access to quality of classroom teaching thus increasing attendance and reducing dropouts.
80% of children have learning effectiveness and ability to visualize learning to better understanding and retention of the subject.
All the children will have an access to conducive learning environment in the school.
500 children will have an access to quality and free food and accommodation facilities.
100% of the children avail nutritional kits and exhibit better health condition.

Improved pass percentage among CWDs
Lower dropout rates after high school among CWDs and girls
Dropout rate reduced among students and increased enrolment of students in the school.
