Cerebral Palsy Association of India (CPAI) is a non-governmental organization established in 1968, dedicated to the empowerment, education, and rehabilitation of children, youth, and women from underprivileged and marginalized communities. With active centers in Mumbai, Vasai, Bhopal, and Lucknow, CPAI has been a driving force in promoting inclusion, independence, and sustainable development.

For children and young adults with special needs, CPAI provides early intervention, therapy, school readiness training, inclusive education, vocational training, and job readiness programs. We also prepare students for mainstream schooling and support them in appearing for NIOS examinations, encouraging independent living and long-term growth.

In tribal and rural communities, CPAI works extensively with women and youth to build self-reliance. Initiatives include the Swanama Project, which promotes tailoring, cloth bag making, and production of reusable sanitary napkins (Saafkins). Training programs in digital and financial literacy, health awareness, livelihood development, and counseling empower women to become self-sufficient entrepreneurs. Additionally, CPAI provides pre-employment skills for tribal youth to enhance job placement opportunities.

Through its integrated approach, CPAI bridges the gap between education, empowerment, and employment, striving to create an inclusive society where individuals of all abilities and backgrounds can thrive with dignity.

Appeal

Dear Sir/Ma’am,

Cerebral Palsy Association of India (CPAI) is committed to empowering individuals with cerebral palsy and multiple disabilities.

We operate 4 branches across different states, running a Special School for children (17 and below) to provide education and skill development, along with a Vocational Training Workshop for adults focusing on daily living and recreational activities. Our Therapy Unit offers critical services like OT, PT, ST, and sensory therapy.

Through Project Swanama, we empower women, including single mothers, women with disabilities, and tribal women, by operating stitching centers that produce eco-friendly cotton sanitary napkins. Our Shikshan Project supports children of single mothers by covering their annual educational fees.

CPAI also organizes free orthopedic and health check-up camps, distributing essential health equipment to beneficiaries and other PDAs.

Over the years, CPAI has positively impacted 3,000+ individuals. Your generous donations will help expand our initiatives, enhance therapy services, strengthen the Swanama project, and support essential programs like camps, bus services, mid-day meals, and ration distribution.

Together, let’s create a more inclusive and brighter future for those in need.

Thank you for your time and consideration.

Warm regards,
Team CPAI

Total funds raised in 2025 - INR 435602
Project NameTherapy & Education for Multiple Disability
Amount Utilized (INR)435602
Project DescriptionThe funds were utilized to support the therapy, education, and rehabilitation programs for children and adults with multiple disabilities at the Cerebral Palsy Association of India (CPAI). The project covered a range of interventions including early intervention, physiotherapy, occupational and sensory integration therapy, speech and language therapy, yoga, and psychological counseling, aimed at improving mobility, communication, and emotional well-being.

Through special education and individualized learning plans, as well as Project Shikshan, CPAI ensured continued education and academic support for children with disabilities and children of single mothers. The initiative also supported Project Swanama, which empowers women with disabilities, single mothers, and tribal women through skill development, livelihood training, and health and hygiene programs.

Additionally, the funds contributed to medical care, orthopedic camps, and the distribution of customized assistive devices such as wheelchairs and braces. These collective efforts foster independence, inclusion, and holistic development for persons with multiple disabilities and their families.
