| Project Description | The funds were used to support 21 participants of Alkemist (an initiative of Katalyst), an 18-month curated multi-level designed for early, mid, and late-career women professionals aspiring to senior leadership roles. The program nurtures purpose-driven leaders and effective managers by equipping participants with confidence, essential tools, and practical strategies to navigate the corporate landscape. | Beneficiary Description | The program is supporting women professionals with up to 5 years of work experience. All are Katalyst alumni from low-income backgrounds who have begun careers in STEM roles. Many come from families where fathers are farmers, daily wage earners, or engaged in low-income occupations such as auto-rickshaw driving, tailoring, or security services, while mothers are primarily homemakers. Some participants were raised by single parents. These young women are typically first-generation learners from rural and semi-urban parts of India. Having overcome significant socio-economic barriers to enter the corporate workforce, they are now using Alkemist as a platform to strengthen their professional journeys, gain resilience, and thrive as leaders. | |||||||||||||||
| Impact | The 21 participants are currently progressing through the program and have already demonstrated growth in several areas: 1. Higher Self-Esteem: Building confidence and belief in their abilities 2. Career Growth: Securing promotions, expanded responsibilities, or new opportunities outside their current organizations 3. | Project Description | Katalyst achieves its objective through a structured program with a blend of unique development interventions, including 600-hour proprietary and scientifically researched curriculum focused on personality development, communication, English proficiency, career readiness, corporate etiquette, technical skills and new age technology. Over their four years in the program, we also provide one-to-one mentorship, access to best in class technology, medical insurance for the girl and the mother, financial support, assistance with internships, and world class industry exposure and corporate interactions. | Project Description | Towards sponsorships for girls from under privileged backgrounds perusing engineering in the colleges in Mumbai, Pune , Bangalore and Delhi. It will be towards their educational needs for four years till they graduate. The program gives corporate exposure, opportunity to attend leadership talks by the industry leaders.
