Project DescriptionThis project was undertaken to promote the habit of reading and increase the language abilities of the students in schools.
Promoting reading among Class 3 to 5 students is pivotal for their academic success and cognitive development. This period marks a critical stage where foundational literacy skills (Foundational Literacy and Numeracy- FLN) are established, laying the groundwork for future learning. Proficiency in reading not only enhances comprehension and vocabulary but also fosters critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills essential for academic achievement. Furthermore, reading exposes students to diverse vocabulary, language structures, and cultural perspectives, promoting empathy, tolerance, and global citizenship. Instilling a love for reading at an early age cultivates a lifelong habit of learning and personal enrichment, empowering students to continually seek knowledge, explore new interests, and grow intellectually throughout their lives.
