Appeal

Cervical cancer is the 2nd leading cause of cancer deaths in women aged 15 to 44 years in India. The Human Papilloma virua (HPV) is the cause of almost all cases of cervical cancer.
Despite cervical cancer being largely preventable with timely vaccination against HPV and regular screening, many remain unaware of these life-saving measures. The high occurrence of cervical cancer and related deaths in India is attributed to low literacy, poor screening, low awareness, social inequality, stigma, and poverty
FPA India leveraged the TMM 2024 platform to launch our impactful campaign titled, " Race to Erase Cervical Cancer." We continue this fight against cervical cancer in association with TMM 2026, with renewed urgency and commitment, accelerating our efforts to eradicate cervical cancer in India. Building on last year’s work, we are intensifying our efforts to extend our reach and ensure that more people benefit from essential prevention and treatment services.
With your support, we will:

Raise Awareness: Educate communities about cervical cancer and its preventability.
Promote HPV Vaccination: Reduce vaccine hesitancy, support costs towards buying and provisioning of HPV vaccination.
Enhance Screening: Conduct cervical cancer screenings along with treatment and referrals for continuum of care, as indicated
