| Project Name | Dahanu Rural Camp Medicines |
| Amount Utilized (INR) | 125000 |
| Project Description | Samman has been dedicated to this cause since 1998, and the Indian Epilepsy Association has a proud history of over 50 years of existence, championing the needs and rights of those affected by epilepsy.
For the past six years, with a brief two-year break during the COVID-19 pandemic, we have been conducting rural camps in Dahanu every quarter. These camps have allowed us to reach and support up to 150 plus patients every quarter. Epilepsy is a chronic disorder, and continuous support is crucial for making a lasting difference in the lives of those affected.
At our camps, we provide essential services such as EEGs, physiotherapy, and occupational therapy. We also identify and shortlist patients for surgery, having successfully completed a few surgeries and the patients are now seizure free. |
