Appeal

The proceeds from the Marathon will go towards supporting Magic Bus’ Adolescent and Livelihood Programmes to skill and empower young people to break out of poverty. To date, we have impacted over 1 million adolescents and placed over 2 lakh youth in jobs across 24 states and Union Territories of India.
The funds raised will help us achieve the following results:
• Equipping young people with life skills and employability skills.
• Ensuring adolescents complete secondary school.
• Ensuring youth have the right skills and access to rewarding employment opportunities.
• Ensuring families, schools, and communities understand and support each young person so they can achieve their full potential in education and later on, in employment.

Project DescriptionThe program contemplates empowering youth from marginalized communities to take up jobs after availing training on personality and skill development. The target group is youths in the age group of 18-25 years hailing from marginalized background. The outcome and impact of the program is directed towards self development of youth with leadership qualities, facilitating for continuing education if needed and avail training for skill up gradation for securing sustainable employment with hand holding thereafter.

Project Objective: To provide support (counselling, training, placement and post- placement guidance) to the young men and women in the skilling program from Chennai, Mumbai and Lonavala.

Target : Target enrollment – 675 ( 225 youths in Tally Course (Chennai & Mumbai) & 225 Youths in Standard Skilling (Lonavala))

We successfully placed 434 youths which is 64% placements done
