The Home ensures their holistic development through secure accommodation, nutritious meals, quality education, remedial learning, healthcare, counselling, and a variety of co-curricular and extra-curricular programs. Beneficiary Description | The Residential Home at Seva Sadan Society serves as a safe haven for 80 girls aged between 8 and 16 years, all of whom come from low socio-economic backgrounds. Many are from single-parent families, while others have both parents working in low-income jobs, struggling to meet even basic needs. Several of these girls live in environments that are unsafe, unstable, or lack the basic infrastructure required for healthy growth. In such circumstances, access to quality education, healthcare, and emotional support is often limited or non-existent. At Seva Sadan Society, these girls receive secure shelter, nutritious meals, quality education, and holistic development opportunities. The Home not only safeguards them from the vulnerabilities of their circumstances but also nurtures their potential—academically, emotionally, and socially—ensuring they are equipped with the skills and confidence to build brighter futures.
Impact | Residential Home – FY 2024–25 The Home supported 80 girls, ensuring safety, growth, and well-being. It achieved a 100% SSC pass rate, with two girls with learning disabilities earning first-class distinctions and college admissions. Remedial support helped English and Marathi medium students bridge learning gaps. Regular counselling and career guidance sessions nurtured emotional health and staff bonding. Project Sitaara and workshops in art therapy, science, music, dance, Vedic Math, and spoken English broadened learning. Health initiatives included medical camps, blood tests, fitness assessments, and vaccination drives. Girls excelled in academics, sports (three to Nationals), singing, and community events, and enjoyed cultural outings. Volunteer meets, fire safety training, and active partnerships enriched the year.
