Appeal

Under this project an institute "Prakruti Technical Academy" will be set up at Kolhapur in Maharashtra to impart quality technical and vocational education in areas like plumber, electrician, draftsman, software development, industrial safety etc. There are large number of drop-outs who can become employable after vocational training. A large number of graduates in Engineering, Science etc are available, but they are not employable due to lack of essential skills. The institute will make them employable. The foundation has planned to rent a space of around 3000 sq ft spread over two floors in Kolhapur. A long-term lease of 5 years is made with the owners. The foundation plans to spend on computers, projector, furniture, software, library, office as required for a standard educational institute. Another major expenditure will be required on manpower in terms of counsellor, faculty, center head and placement support. The project is seeking financial support for the first three-year period and then it will become self-supporting from the fees collected from students. The institute will support beneficiaries from Kolhapur, Sangli, Satara, Belgaum, Sindhudurg districts
