Global Vikas Trust (GVT), founded in 2016 by social activist Mayank Gandhi, is dedicated to transforming rural India by empowering small and marginal farmers. We believe that real economic change must begin in the villages, where farming families face drought, poverty, and limited opportunities.

Our work focuses on four key areas: large-scale fruit tree plantation to provide farmers with steady, long-term income; water conservation projects that restore groundwater and strengthen local ecosystems; farmer training through our GVT Krishikul Training centres, which showcase modern yet sustainable practices; and market linkages that connect farmers to fair and profitable buyers. By combining traditional knowledge with practical innovations, we help farmers move beyond subsistence and build secure, dignified livelihoods.

Over the years, GVT has planted millions of fruit trees across drought-prone and suicide-affected regions, raising incomes many times over and reviving hope in rural communities. With more than 4,500 villages already impacted, our mission is to scale this transformation further, working towards a future where farmers earn a stable living, the environment is replenished, and India’s villages become centres of prosperity once again.
