Established in 2003 under the Bombay Public Trust Act, 1950, Vasundhara Foundation is dedicated to fostering sustainable livelihoods in rural and semi-rural India through capacity building and handholding support for Community-Based Organizations (CBOs), village institutions, and GO-NGO-CSR collaborations. Our multidisciplinary team drives strategic interventions to strengthen development outcomes.
Since 2015-16, we have impacted 57 villages across Surendranagar, Patan, Ahmedabad, and Narmada districts of Gujarat. Key initiatives include Village Child Protection Society (VCPS) formation (2016-18, Patan), supported by the Department of Social Justice and Empowerment, and community empowerment programs in Radhanpur, Bechraji, and Mandal blocks (2019-20). In partnership with Reliance Foundation, we facilitate participatory village development plans and climate-resilient farming, benefiting over 5,000 farmers in Patan and Rajkot since 2022.
Our “STEM for Girls” program, launched in 2020 with IBM CSR and QUEST Alliance, promotes STEM education for 7,000 girls across 24 schools in five districts. Additionally, since 2022, we collaborate with South Asia Cotton Connect on regenerative agriculture and women’s climate leadership in Narmada’s tribal communities.
