Ethos Foundation is an independent Trust, registered under Indian Trust Act, founded in 2021 and is dedicated to supporting educational, environmental, social and cultural activities. Through its two verticals, it aims to make a positive impact on healthcare, education, and environmental conservation.
Arcause - acts as a catalyst, uniting architects, engineers, and design professionals to promote social responsibility.
ReBeat - is an initiative with a focus on spreading awareness on CPR – Cardio Pulmonary Resuscitation to common people. This is the subject of the proposed project.
Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA) is a sudden, unexpected heart failure, leading to insufficient blood flow to vital organs like the brain and heart. Without prompt intervention, brain death can occur within 4 to 6 minutes.
Immediate administering of CPR, is critical to be continued till more specialist assistance with the use of an Automated External Defibrillator (AED) and advanced life support is available.
ReBeat’s mission is to creating a CPR aware India with easy access to AEDs, empowering common citizens to use their hands to save lives, thereby providing a chance of survival, for SCA victims.
ReBeat will achieve this through conducting workshops in educational institutions, societies, workplaces, as well as online training.

Appeal

ReBeat-Your Hands Can Save A Life

Each year, 10 lakh people in India die from Sudden Cardiac Arrest (SCA), with over 80% of these incidents happening in front of someone. Unfortunately, less than 2% of our population is aware of Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR), making the chances of their survival very low.
Increasing CPR awareness and training is an imperative. ReBeat is committed to this cause through a mix of physical workshops at educational institutions, housing societies, and workplaces as well as through providing online courses.
Our plan for the year includes building capacity and creating scalable resources for a June 2025 launch, including pilots:
- Conducting CPR workshops with a coverage of around 5,000 people
- Developing training content in multiple languages
- Procuring training kits, including manikins and Automated External Defibrillator (AED) simulators.
- Building a website and mobile app for ReBeat with online training modules.
- Running a "Train the Trainer" program in ten schools to certify staff as CPR instructors enabling in-house ongoing training in these schools for students in Class 9 and above.
We welcome donations that would bolster these initiatives and empower more individuals with life-saving CPR and AED skills, ultimately saving lives.
