Small Animal Hospital Mumbai (SAHM) is a Section 8 not-for-profit veterinary hospital dedicated to the advance veterinary care of dogs and cats. SAHM combines state-of-the-art infrastructure advanced diagnostic labs, ICU, surgical suites, and 24x7 emergency services with a compassionate mission to serve all animals in need, whether pet or stray.
Every rupee generated at SAHM goes back into running of the hospital and funding the treatment of community (stray) animals. From critical surgeries to emergency care for injured street dogs and cats, our team works tirelessly to give voiceless animals a chance at life.
Appeal
Street animals in our communities are prone to neglect, starvation, and disease. At SAHM, we strive to provide surgical care and advanced medical treatment, including diagnostics such as MRI and CT scans, for street animals, thereby contributing to their treatment and giving them the chance to live happily.
The fund will support our Diagnose – Treat – Return Program for stray animals, which comprises:
- Accurately diagnosing the disease using the best-in-class diagnostic facility.
- Implementing appropriate treatment and post-treatment rehabilitation plan, including surgeries, if needed; and
- Returning the animal (post-treatment) to their original locations through their carers or encouraging their adoption
This initiative aims to enhance animal welfare standards by providing 24/7 advanced, emergency, and critical care treatment to community animals.
The amount of INR 50 lakhs will help provide advanced medical care, including surgical support, to over 250 street animals.
