Tapasya, a non-profit charitable organisation, that is committed to building a world class palliative hospice/care centre for terminally ill cancer patients in Mangaluru. Nearly 600,000 cancer patients are declared terminally ill in India every year. These patients need special palliative care as it is challenging for family members to take care of them at home. Paediatric Palliative Care (PPC) prevents, identifies, and treats suffering in patients with life-threatening conditions. It is appropriate at any stage of the illness and can be provided together with disease-directed treatment.
We are currently building a state-of-the-art 51-bed Tapasya Palliative & Hospice Care Centre for cancer patients at Mudipu, Dakshina Kannada, Karnataka on a 2.65-acre land owned and purchased by Tapasya Foundation with both natural and modern facilities to take care of patients of all ages irrespective of caste, creed, and gender. Ground floor has already been completed and will soon become operational. First floor construction is under progress.

In the interim, Tapasya Foundation has been already offering following free services:
1. Mobile Palliative Care across three districts within a 100 km radius, reaching patients at home.
2. An in-patient palliative ward at Yenepoya Ayurveda Medical College Hospital, Naringana.

Mobile home care palliative services give comfort to both patient and family members. training provided to family members to handle the situations more professionally. A special ward for paediatric patients is also being created. All the services are completely free for the patients.

The money raised will be spent majorly for
1. Construction of over 60000 SqFt of Civil Infrastructure and other utilities to make it complete with all utilities.
2. Salaries for caregivers.
3. Food service
4. Electricity, Water bill etc...
