The Thalassemia Society Pune Chapter (TSPC) was founded by patients, parents and friends
affected by Thalassemia Major. The foundation provides hope, comfort and encouragement to
those battling this disorder. The foundation maintains a strong relationship with the medical
community that provides diagnosis, treatment and care.
We at the Thalassemia Society are committed for Prevention and Awareness drives in and
around Pune. We have set a goal to achieve ZERO Thalassemia birth of new Patients in Pune by
the year 2030

Appeal

Thalassemia Society Pune Chapter (TSPC) intend to use these funds for Care & Curb Initiatives.
For Care : We plan to provide free-of-cost day care, serving as a comprehensive one-stop service including Blood, Iron Chelation Medicines, Leukocyte Reduction Filters, Health Checkup. Our goal is to sponsor 50 Thalassemia Major warriors which cost us Rs. 50,00,000 per year
For Curb : We plan to drive health screening camps at a nominal cost . The screening includes CBC, HBA2, Sugar, and Reflex molecular testing. This will help to know Thalassemia Carriers and counselling to be done to curb Thalassemia Major Births. Our goal is to do 5000 screening in 12 month which cost us Rs.25,00,000.
