BAIF, since past five decades is committed to sustainable rural development cause and hence have introduced several multi-disciplinary programs across 17 states , covering 328 districts and more than one lakh households in India. Its multidisciplinary programs covering integrated livestock development, Natural Resource Management, Tree-based farming, climate-resilient agriculture and improved quality of life of a disadvantaged section of the population in rural India by enhancing access to clean energy, water, sanitation and health services. This has resulted in sustainable growth in household income, improved access to natural resources and clean energy, an enriched environment and better quality of life for the rural masses.

Appeal

According to the National Family Health Survey report published in 2017, only 58 % of women of age 15-24 use a hygienic method of menstrual protection. Due to dearth of supply of sanitary products, their high cost, unavailability, non-accessibility, poor awareness, and lack of education about the importance and need of menstruation, women have been suffering in silence. The people lacked the general awareness regarding this raging issue

Objectives of the Project
• Emphasize the role of health, hygiene, and sanitation on the health for wellbeing of along with entire ecosystem.
• Demonstrate Impact of WASH on sustainable development in terms of use of science, technology and innovative approaches and ideas.
