Who we are: The Feline Foundation is an animal welfare NGO in Mumbai, Maharashtra, est. 2017. We aim to enhance the welfare of community animals in Mumbai, with a primary focus on community cats, through targeted population management, accessible healthcare initiatives and active community engagement. We are the first NGO in Maharashtra that systematically addresses the needs of community cats.

Our Strategic Focus Areas:
* Population Management of community cats
* Healthcare Initiatives for community dogs and cats
* Community Involvement in animal welfare

Our Stats: Our clinic has a capacity for sterilising 400 cats, hospitalising 30 critical cases, and treating 1000 clinic cases every month. To date, we have sterilised 14,000 community cats, treated over 44,000 dog and cat clinic cases, and engaged over 23,000 community members through our awareness and outreach initiatives. Total animals helped = 50,000+

In addition to impacting animal welfare, the overpopulation of community animals also has detrimental effects on public health, urban sanitation, and peaceful living. In addition to improving animal welfare, we are also working to prevent or reduce zoonotic diseases in our communities, decrease human-animal conflicts, and improve the liveability of our urban spaces.

Appeal

Every day we come across countless stray animals hurt in road accidents, infested with fleas and maggots, sick with viral diseases, and more. On a monthly basis we treat thousands of stray dogs and cats. Running such a medical centre for strays is extremely costly. Our medicine and food costs alone are over INR 4 Lakhs a month with operating costs on top of that. In order to provide these vulnerable animals with the treatment they need, we need your support and contributions to help subsidize our medical expenses.

Your donations will go towards:
* Medical rehabilitation of stray cats with life-threatening injuries and diseases
* Sterilization or Animal Birth Control drives to reduce the unsustainable population of stray cats
* Treatment of stray dogs and cats in our Community Veterinary Clinic - including wound dressing, flea/tick and infectious disease treatment, malnutrition, kidney/liver disease, diagnostics, etc.
* Vaccination of stray dogs and cats to protect them against deadly rabies
* Emergency life-saving surgeries such as amputations, eye excisions, dental extractions and more
