NSKV works to achieve economic development, mutual respect and dignity of people. They work with the vision "to support changes in the lives of socially and economically deprived communities by building active partnerships with them in a spirit of transparency and sensitivity, pursuing an ideal of overall sustainable development of the society." they are working to protect vulnerable children and tuberculosis affected people in the UMANG PROJECT from any firm of exploitation. They have also been collaborating with Child Line Foundation India for the same. They have also conducted a program in Ambojwadi slum to help 9-15 year old children who suffer from substance abuse. This program was implemented to rehabilitate these children from their work of collecting garbage. It lead to a decrease in the school drop out rate. Drawing and painting classes were also conducted for their mental and physical development. The Control program is conducted to spread awareness about TB. They provided nutrition to the patients, checked their Body Mass Index , changed their nutrition if needed and monitored them. With setting up of the DOT centres by the government for checking up of the TB patients, the Rupin process was initiated by the institute people. Then provide council, nutrition powder and Rs. 1000 for ration to BPL families.
