In India, Child Sexual Abuse (CSA) happens at such a high rate that it may be safe to call it an epidemic. According to the widely cited study by Ministry of Women and Child Development, 53% of children in India experience one or more forms of sexual abuse before they turn 18 years old. Professionals working against the issue vouch for this figure being even higher. Yet, there is a limited understanding among adults about the gravity of the issue and effective ways of preventing and sensitively responding to it. We love having passionate people who wish to join hands in the fight against CSA. Your contribution will help us immensely in reaching out to children and adults to create awareness about CSA and work towards it’s prevention. The funds raised will be used towards conducting prevention workshops in schools that train parents, teachers and administrative staff to understand, acknowledge, identify and respond to CSA which will be followed by working with children on personal safety education. In addition to this, the funds will enable us to provide therapeutic and psychosocial support to survivors of child sexual abuse and their caretakers.
